Mithun Chakraborty has sparked major excitement by hinting that Shah Rukh Khan might appear alongside Rajinikanth in the film Jailer 2 which is expected to release in June 2026.
In a interview Mithun confirmed his involvement in the sequel to Jailer and spoke about the film’s powerful cast.
Mithun said that Jailer 2 is his next project and the major characters in the film are against him. He named several stars including Rajini, Mohanlal, Shah Rukh, Ramya Krishnan and Shiva Rajkumar.
If this really happens it will mark the first time Shah Rukh and Rajini share screen space something fans have long waited for.
Directed by Nelson Dilipkumar and produced by Sun Pictures, Jailer 2 will once again feature Ramya Krishnan. Reports also suggest the presence of other notable actors but there is still no official confirmation regarding Shah Rukh Khan’s role.
